Oh dear…oh very dear! Such wrongness I don’t even know where to start.

1) H Moser is milking the Alp Watch too much. It was a novelty when first introduced, along with their parody video. Then we had another iteration, which was fine – but now this, which is just taking the biscuit.
2) At first I thought there must’ve been some Photoshopping going on at the PR indicator, but now I’ve figured out it’s a shadow from the dial – still looks crap, compounded by the ghosting of the dial, in the last photo.
3) Speaking of the photos – you DO NOT use such a background surface with a highly polished case. The distorted reflections are most unattractive and certainly don’t help sell the watch…which is the whole point of decent photography, otherwise why bother at all.
4) Rough as …. – the movement has parts which look like the whole notion of doing this was very last minute, and therefore rushed to get it ready in time.
5) Uninteresting to look at. Lacking a coherence in design that grabs the eye and takes it on a journey around various pathways to delight and engage it. That rotor connecting piece in the centre is beyond dull to view – it screams “I was cheap to produce and had no thought given to how I look”!
Except for their Tourbillon faux pas – how to take a beautiful watch, and ruin it in one easy step – I’m a huge proponent of Moser’s products, but this is not the sort of output I expect and know they’re capable of.
To my mind, there are two things they can do with it:
a) just scrap the idea altogether, and pretend that it never happened
b) go spend the time finishing it, instead of offering something that gives the appearance of being only half done
