1. Excellent review and (all the more) superb watch. Can't wait to receive mine. I look forward to handing it down to my son someday. That's what heirlooms are for! Best regards, D.
2. Quite a nice piece. The workmanship appears excellent. Enjoy it in good health
3. Wow...thats very nice back! More please!
4. Fantastic Pictures of an excellent watch
5. Nice! why is it a limited edition?
6. The Dornblüth 04.0 is based on a defunct East German movement of apparently limited availability. I was considering this watch last year, but decided on another Glashütte Original perpetual instead; few regrets, but the original owners of this gem have a unique piece of handmade watchmaking. I've seen a Dornblüth in the metal, and a friend of mine owns one and is considering another . . . . they're quite special indeed. Cordially, Art
7. Fabulous post! Thank you, Coffeetwo. While my 99.3 remains on order, my anticipation level has risen through the roof!
8. Excellent Post - I have been truly fascinated by the Independent watch makers, including Dornbluth and more so the ethos behind its being individually crafted and finished by hand. Without being judgmental, one feels in a different world and in a better time, than the harsh reality of (more) mass produced and brand driven churned pieces by luxury conglomerates. I feel that many buyers are more lead by the Brand than the technology or the beauty of the object....but each to ones own! Best Wishes Mally
9. Wonderful post! Should be in the FAQ under Dornblueth. nt (tempusfugit)
10. Thanks for the info and pictures. As I am one of the people awaiting delivery of the 04.0 you can imagine how anxious I am and your pictures only compound it. You mentioned the hands were 100 years old. I remember that Dornblueth did use such hands in their very early watches as he had a stockpile of them, but I thought that that stockpile had finished? Does he still have some more for use in the 04.0?
Answer: The hands appear to be similar to his first watches. I would suggest that you contact Mr. Dornblueth for information regarding the age of the hands on your watch. Very Best, coffeetwo
