I had the pleasure be in the presence of some rare Chrisophe Claret watches and had my camera ready to go! Having just taken delivery of a classically beautiful Jean Daniel Nicolas Two-Minute Tourbillon, I also find myself attracted to the "new watchmaking" approach taken by Claret with the Dual Tow. There is a lot to be impressed with by this watch: the alternative time display, the chime that accompanies the pressing of the chronograph pusher, the "spider leg" levers moving when the pusher is pressed, and of course, that staple of Claret's work, the tourbillon.
There were two models for me to see. There will be 68 Dual Tow's made, each one will be unique. The first that I saw has a rose gold case:

And the caseback shows the two barrels which give a 60 hour power reserve to this power hungry watch, as well as a view of the striking mechanism with gong:

The second was in black titanium and has sapphire bridges, which are another Claret hallmark.

I admire the way Claret keeps on pushing the boundaries of watchmaking while also making attractive, wearable watches.
