Why don't the young watchmakers

 

beat a path to Svend's door these days?

They should be camped outside the doors to learn from the old guys like Andersen, Calabrese and Dufour rather than immediately setting up their own "brand name",  before they have learnt all the skills necessary to be a real watchmaker.

The basic watchmaking "qualification" is not enough to become a master watchmaker; they need to make their "master" piece first....from scratch.
