Yeah...
I saw that too.
This kind of downmarket mass production and discounting is tragic. Why, it's virtually Walmart prices. At this rate they'll soon be as ubiquitous as hen's teeth...
I don't mind at all that they move a bit downwards from the market of the 0.000001% to the, hmmm, 0.001%. Mostly because I'm basically uninterested in tourbillons. I actually prefer beautifully-designed and, well-implemented 'regular' balance wheels - which this looks to be. So for GF to introduce such a simple, ordinary, everyday watch - and in steel at that, such a pedestrian material - suits me: I don't need KrAzY cases and whirligigs inclined at however many degrees to make me happy; I'm looking for spare and uncomplicated elegance, which this watch looks to have in abundance!
Just got home after a long day. Think I'll see if I can find any spare change buried in the sofa and put it towards my first GF!

Finishing for GF is indeed likely the best in the business, under the loupe it makes Patek seemed average, and RM a ripoff (RM has a lot of machine finishing). And no I wasn\'t saying it\'s the end of tourbillon for GF, just saying it is unfortunately for...

indeed it would be nice they only make those 300K+ pieces but it seems that after the golden years of the last decade, it is not possible anymore. At least I'm glad they can keep on at quite a high "rate". Cheers, Mark
