I like the style of the Gronefeld movement slightly better but in comparison to my 1941 Principia, the LH is better finished. As beautiful as the Gronefeld is, I found some flaws with the
Gronefeld finishing at least on my piece. The only watch that I have owned that matches this LH as far as finishing quality was a Laurent Ferrier Galet.

The movement is glorious and reminds me of Glashutte pocket watch style, but taken to extreme levels of finishing. Is the cap stone of the balance pivot diamond? Is there any shock protection? Is the movement gold? Love the triple lugs too.

The cap stone is indeed a diamond. To be honest, I'm not sure about shock protection. The movement is brass that has been gold plated. The wheels are all 14K gold.
