IWC

For me, the Portuguese is an iconic line

Regardless of the direction IWC has taken, this line always oozes quality for me. They feel as though they are designed more for watch aficianodos rather than the general public. And which is the way the brand was until, say, post financial crisis.

My first Swiss watch was the Portuguese Chronograph, white dial with gold numerals. No longer with me, but I do think I will return to it at some point. It wasn't a piece you would see every day and I have always loved thin bezels and the angled outer seconds counter.

I am a big fan of the perpetual calender, especially the dual moon variety. The blue dial white gold version was a real love. But at 44mm and quite thick, it wasn't for my wrist.

I also love the classic more simple pieces that you have shown above (even though one is an MR so not so simple!). I find the italic 'International Watch Co.' branding on the dial to be sexy as hell!!

Cheers for bringing up a favourite line of mine!
