Excellent review! That piece is gorgeous and I, too, love the ardoise dial.
I have always been a big fan of the workmanlike Valjoux 7750, so I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the IWC movement after your break-in period.
I agree this watch has a classic, under-the-radar, yet sophisticated look. I decided a few months ago that my next purchased will be an IWC (my first!), and now I think perhaps it should this one.
