IWC launches 3 limited edition Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante watches

My first real watch was the IWC 3714-01, the same colour as the first rattrapante, but not a split chrono. Glad to see IWC keeping this line going, it is a classic shape and size, even though a lot of people prefer the 7 days version.
Is the movement identical to the original?
I recall Richard Habring stating that IWC did not renew the patent ont he split, which is why he used - and improved - it in their Habring². Has IWC introduced any changes to the changes to the split second mechanism? Regards, Marcus
