It's a superb model.
The one we went for when chosing a watch for my Dad's 60th birthday many years ago. He wore it every day while he still worked, and now alternates it with a Submariner 14060, depending on the occasion. Not terrible for a two watches collection.

I am a happy owner of this one, but there is no such thing as a "wrong" Portugieser. They all are so good looking, it's not possible to make a bad choice.
