I’ve owned plenty of ceramic watches from Hublot, AP, Panerai ans even IWC and to be honest they all do tend to scratch and mostly the IWC for some reasons. I’ve had the same one you’re wearing and even the Top Gun double chronograph and they did take marks and scratches here and there.
The idea of ceramic watches being virtually scratch proof is a myth. Don’t get me wrong, they are tough watches and that’s a fact but they will get scratched over time and there’s nothing you can do about it. You’ll simply have to live with it. AP ceramic watches were the toughest, then comes Hublot, panerai and lastly IWC.
Not trying to change your mind on the piece whatsoever but just wanted to share my experience since you’ve asked for it. Hope that helps!

Seems to sit well to me, in fact I'm jealous, have tried a Big Pilot in the past but looked silly on me which was a shame as it was the steel Spitfire annual calendar (which I thought was great value) - if you like it I wouldn't hesitate. I can't comment ...

I would just flip the strap the other direction. Its really hard to scratch ceramic btw. Tony

IWC does do some great watches and this one is one of it. If you are considering it then give it a serious chance: should be a part of any modern collection.
