Hi all, I ended up with the Pallweber wristwatch Instead of getting the pocket watch. I bid on one at the Sotheby’s auction and won it. I don’t believe there’s another one for sale anywhere so I am happy. Everyone have a wonderful weekend… Jim ...  

I think it is important to note that the name is Pallweber and not Pall Weber. The Pallweber pocket watches are named after the Austrian watchmaker Josef Pallweber, who patented his invention in 1883, and licensed it to IWC.

I own the blue dial one as well, they are wonderful digital time watches and at 45mm, with the welded lugs even fit my wife Russetta!

I don’t know the exact provenance yet but will once I receive the watch and paperwork, it is in great condition but from another collector. I paid well under retail even with the buyers premium so I feel good about it…Jim

The blue dial one is in stainless steel, they also made 50 platium ones. The 45mm is big like a pocket watch but the watch, with the curved down wore lugs, fits very very well. You can read about the history on Google if you search it…Jim

When i was not so rude about sizes. When time comes, collecting, and growing, the wrist size, sweet spot came. So with my 19cm wrist 42 and 43mm became the size. This is only a guide, so i can decide to buy a bigger than 43mm watch if the watch is a uniqu... 

I have a 17 mm wrist and the IWC Pallweber fits me great… Jim

The pocket watch is a really amazing piece, but this one you will wear and use much more. And this white dial version is just breathtaking. Huge congrats. GEO

The nice thing, believe it or not, is my wife loves it and wears the blue dial one. The curved down wired lugs makes it fit a much smaller wrist albeit a big face. Best of al worlds with the jumping hours and Minutes…Jim
