Somehow the military dial one is my favourite, although they are all nice. I also liked the previous model (to the current generation). It's a shame to lose the Genta design.

Fore in a row ! Very nice examples around one concept but very different in execution. I truly adore the 1832 - so organic and smooth in design and the pinnacle with the ES cal.
The Military dial 866 is close to Unique, there cant be more than a few dozen around, but all your examples are worth to be treasured.

I agree with the prototype labeling for the 866 M, as i understand it these were offered to the Bund for trial and testing but never ordered or put in active use ? And never in the iwc catalogue. I wonder how IWC sold these, or did IWC give these to emplo...

… delivered to the IWC agent in Angola. Also, I have figured that the 5 documented examples that I have seen so far have all case numbers 18 13 xxx. One military dial 866 Ingenieur appears in the book of Toelke / King, called "IWC International Watch Co. ...
