Open 2018 with the IWC Aquatimer Deep Three ...
Team,
I love watches with some history attached and the Deep Three is the 3rd generation of a watch that started in the 90's with the creation of a mechanical deep gauge by IWC (Richard Habring worked on this project) materialized by the Deep One.

The Deep One was followed, later in 2009, by the Deep Two.
(the two initial pictures are from the Internet, probably from IWC)
The Deep Three
In 2014, IWC released the watch that I'm wearing to open the year, the Aquatimer Deep Three.
Big, with generous 46mm, the Deep Three dresses fine on my wrist, considering that is a sports watch.
Movement is a solid IWC Caliber 30120 (based on the solid old ETA 2892).
Besides those characteristics, the Deep Three is a very photogenic watch and allow me to abuse of your bandwidth with many pictures.
1) Crown side view. The black pusher as 2, resets the deep gauge.

2) This crown on the left side, is used to adjust the deep gauge before diving.

3) The beautiful dial in full glory.

4) Another view of the multi layered dial.

5) Over the water of our swimming pool. Blue matches the blue marks on the dial.

6) A better capture of the details.

7) Finally, a B&W shot.
Thanks for seeing.
Cheers,
Nilo
