Excellent JLC service experience!

 

Back in early April, I made the decision to go ahead and have my pre-owned Master Compressor Extreme World Alarm serviced and repaired. I was the third owner and it had quite a few problems that weren't apparent at first but began cropping up. Despite the hefty estimate to have everything serviced and made right, I decided to have it done as the issues were greatly affecting my ability to enjoy the watch.

Even before I sent my watch in, the communication with the Fort Worth Richemont Center was excellent; all the representatives I spoke with were extremely helpful and guided me through the whole process. They kept me updated on the status of the repair, when the watch was shipped to the Le Sentier factory, when it arrived back in the States ready for more quality control tests, and finally when it was ready to ship back to me.

I'm really impressed with the turnaround time given the amount of work that had to be done. Looking at the initial estimate, I was thinking I wouldn't get the watch back until maybe late August or early September, taking into account the two week factory break, so getting a call two days ago that it was ready to go was a real treat.

Well, the watch was shipped Wednesday afternoon and arrived earlier Thursday (one day earlier as it was supposed to be Friday arrival, luckily I was working from home today to catch the UPS guy!) and I couldn't be happier; it's like I've been given a brand new watch! All the cosmetic blemishes are gone from the case, and the overall feel of the watch from the winding of the alarm, to the winding of the watch, feel "crisp" and just fantastic. The dial, crystal, hands and crowns have all been replaced and are flawless.

In any case, I just wanted to share my experience as I've read some posts in the past where it appears that JLC service hasn't quite met the expectations of the customer but in my case, they've not only met my expectations but far exceeded it; they have a loyal customer and fan in me for sure!
