I'm glad I don't have to take it down to wind it up every week.
It's heavy, it's not easy to find the fixture behind the clock and you have to polish a bit afterwards.
Still, I do it twice a year to adjust for summer-/wintertime.

I have one in my living room. Not that big, but still. About 17 x 12 inches and of quite solid material and heavy, maybe 8 lbs....

It's actually a mechanical....
with mice running on a round cage where the main spring would normally be. Every morning, before the commuters arrive, a nice lady in a JLC white coat comes and feeds them and cleans out the mess that inevitably falls to the bottom of the clock.... uh...y...
