Other than print books, are there any online references for JLC serial numbers ?

Greetings everyone, What is the difference between the 2982B and the E159? To my eye they look very similar and in most cases I see a cal 478 movement. Is it case size? I’ve read just about every thread on the SHOM and military issues 2982s and can’t pin ...
The problem is that there is almost nothing posted on the net about the SHOM 159 and the 2982B.
