A very practical choice!

 

The EWC is a very sensible choice for a man of Monsieur Deschamps' profession.

- He has a chronograph for timing periods of play, workouts, sprints, and dexterity drills...
- He has a world time function for keeping track of games, players, and team personnel elsewhere in the world...
- He has a quick-change feature to fit a bracelet or rubber strap if conditions on the field become wet...
- And he has an "autotractorized" movement, cal 752, in an MCExtreme impact-resistant case should an errant ball or lunging player collide with him on the sideline!

For all of the same reasons, I have enjoyed my EWA greatly during outdoor activity. These are fantastic watches with a lighthearted sensibility, although I never thought of an MCE as a companion for a suit before I saw this image; he makes it work!

For those who don't know, Deschamps is the French Soccer Team Trainer. During this world cup, he was wearing this Watch. It is a Jaeger-Lecoultre. Let's see if you recognize it! Best, Nicolas...

... hmmm. Is it the Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph? That would seem to be the best odds guess since I can't see any details of the watch, the case is definitely an MCE, and it has three crowns inline instead of two as on the EWA. Best, Tim

He was also the captain of the French team that won the world cup in 1998 in Paris. I was lucky to be in there and witness that live. How time flies- it seems like yesterday. E
