Thank you for sharing this fine collection. The black dial Memovox theme is great one. It showcases your personal tastes and provides an illuminating cross-section of watches bearing the manufacture's signature complication.
I certainly understand the appeal of the tribute models, but I've been of the opinion that the Master Compressor Memovox and the Master Memovox are JLC sleeper classics waiting to emerge.
The Master's dial is so clean, it has dress/casual versatility, and of course, it features that charming sapphire gong display. It's the closest thing JLC has made to a sixties E855 since that model's time.
The Compressor Memovox was a remarkably original adaptation of the old-style JLC dive alarms. It paid clear homage to the Polaris, but the Memovox Compressor was neither a copy nor a caricature of its predecessor. Like a Porsche Boxter to a 550 Spyder, it paid respect without being a replica. The combination of the Compressor crowns with the JLC dive alarm concept was a perfect match, and I think this model is destined to become one of the definitive 2000's-era JLCs. Certainly, it was one of the best proportioned and most appealing of the Compressor and Compressor Extreme series.
Do post more photos if you ever have the opportunity; all of these watches are wonderfully appealing.
Best,
Tim
