Congratulations for your new Jaeger. When I was younger, this Jaeger was my ultimate dream. Nevertheless, it was a little bit too big and thick for my chicken wrist ;-)
You're absolutely right about your first point. The Master Grand Réveil (ref. 149.8.95 or Q163842A) is a combination between a perpetual calendar and a smart alarm with the possibility to choose between a ring or a vibration (very cool "complication" from my point of view).
About your second point, I'm sure the production began before 2010 (don't know how many years exactly) and Jaeger stopped it few years ago if I'm right.
The steel version is not a limited one and not really hard to find. But it's a really really cool timepiece ;-)

which, you are correct, is the world's only QP with Alarm. It was the first watch by JLC to feature the "Vibrate/Alarm" setting, which muted the gong. I think it's an amazing piece, and on a navy strap it is KILLER!!! -Dean
