I also share your (negative) comment about the folding clasp : quite uncomfortable on the wrist. Pretty soon after I got my watch I ordered a matching (19mm) PT pin buckle from JLC : definitely much much better in comfort! Best, Gerard

The price hurts? I think it is a real bargain. We had this discussion with the Manufacture when they released it in 2007. 40 K Euros for the platinum version was a real bargain for that it was. Maybe even too low.
Imagine the very same watch with a certain name on the dial... How much would you think it would go for?
No of course the 40 for the Pt Chrono WAS fair...
... I was more referring to the red gold versions of today in the range of 55-60.
Some offers are great, we'll see if these raise in the future if they bring new models and keep rising the retail...

The movement on the duemetre is simply spectacular and unique. It has a massive vibe for some of its thick components yet also some very refined area, more delicate and unique
Maybe I am not describing it properly, but everytime I see it, I find it very different from any movement out there

I saw one f these at Borscheims many years ago. Love this watch . Kind of amazing the the split second hands look like they are are on the same pinion together but operate independently .
