Thanks for posting your thoughts and beautiful photos of this modern Reverso. Obviously, you are enjoying your magnificent watch.
I think you hit upon some good thoughts, particularly what a good value this Reverso and othewr Reversos are, especially when you buy yours pre-owned. As always, there are pros and cons to buying pre-owned v. new, and to each his own.
The relative thickness of the watch is due, I assume, to the 8-day power reserve and dual barrel. There again,we have a trade-off. It is awfully nice to have such a power reserve on a manual wind if one does not wish to wind their watch every day or if one rotates the watch with other pieces during the week. There is also something captivating about watching a PR decline, espeically over a week's time, and then restoring it to its full power. But I gather it is hard to design a very thin watch with a long power reserve. In my experience, the proportions of the XGT case and the thicknes of the 8-day Reversos, still seems fine if you have the wrist to wear them.
Thanks again for the fine review.
