Sorry to hear about your loss. I've never seen the special dial PT Duometre Chronograph, but the regular version in PT is already quite stunning.
Your WG version has more "cool factor" as you've said, ...but these look too big on my wrist.
40/41 mm would be ideal for me, and JLC has already did it with some of its Quantieme Lunaire released in 40.5 mm, the proportion seems more elegant too.
I owned this gorgeous QL with enamel dial:
A very charming piece, but I find the foudroyante hand a bit disturbing for what is supposed to be a calming piece with the slow passage of the moon as the main focus.
And foudroyante hand keeps running in the QL, unlike in the Chronograph version where it only runs after activating the chrono pusher.
