Hi, my friend here are some answers:
The Tribute Duo is bigger: 47, 8 x 28, 3 mm and 10, 3 mm high, and the dial is a bit different. Look at the small seconds subdial at 6, on the blue ( which is a Tribute Duo ) and compare it to the Red, which is a Tribute Small Seconds... You will also see that on the Red, the Small Seconds is a tad bigger.
The Tribute Small Seconds dimensions for your information: 45, 6 x 27, 4 mm big, 8, 5 mm high.
The movements are not the same, either, but you cold imagine that.

Having tried both on last week
I would go for the blue. The dial seems more 'alive' than the burgundy which is more of a matt finish although your wonderfully taken photos indicate otherwise.
Burgundy too
It is more original as a dial colour than blue... and it reminds me of a nice French region too

even though I voted for blue which I knew would lose - the burgundy is a newer watch and a boutique edition so that itself gives it an edge.

Burgundy for me. I love the originality of it.
But itās also a watch that would make me smile every time I sat down with a glass of red in hand.

Tough choice. I like the burgundy for variety and with contrasting straps imagine it could really pop. But the blue is so well done, however there are so many blue pieces in this universe to choose from... so conclusion for me if I had to choose a reverse...

Having gone through this exercise and having tried on both...
I ended up with the blue. Although it was the blue Duo. It was a very difficult decision and I may eventually end up with the burgundy as well if I am so lucky.
Burgundy
So much blue in the marketplace and the burgundy is beautiful in its own right
I want a complete railroad track so I vote blue. Strange how the subdial diameters vary on these dials

.. as Iāve got blue covered with a latitude already - and red hues seem less prevalent in the back catalogue (rouge 1931 notwithstanding).. al
Burgundy
Mainly as haven't a watch with that colour dial & when I saw it in London it was rather special. Now if we are adding wishful thinking a Duo with a blue and a burgundy dial might work very well. Cheers JML
Itās very difficult to create the red that the JLC artists
used for this Reverso. So difficult in fact, that I consider the colour to be a complication of its own.
I havenāt seen the burgundy in person , and while the blue dial is well overplayed this days , I think this blue is very tastefully done .
The burgundy is special indeed , but a bit to loud for my taste . I also find the blue more versatile , therefore thatās my choice until I see the other in person....
Head says blue, but heart says burgundy.
Maybe if they make an emerald or ivory dial then I can make up my mind
Having had the rouge,
it's most likely blue for me---but i'll have to see the burgundy in the metal to be convinced of adding another 'red'. Btw,the blue dial you showed seems to differ from the one Tyo showed in his post,so do we have a choice of blue dials?
