I'm interested to see this in the flesh. I think it wears bigger than its actual size...
to maybe a visually optimum 38 or 39 because of the expanse of the dial. I actually like it than the current master control. But to see is to believe. JLC is playing it juuuust right, yes? Very elegant strategy so far that I'm seeing from this manufacture.

A very wellcomed revival
The Master Control truly deserved to be 'backdated' (as opposed to updated) to an aspect closer to the now 'modern classic' Master control of the late 1990's, after having been somewhat butchered 4 years ago by the so-called 'harmonisation' which did IMHO...
Add some luminous dots on this special Master Control ...

about the "return of the Master Grande Taille," which was 37mm, as opposed to the "Master Classique," which was 34mm - and THAT watch WAS made for the Asian market. The bezel and horns were in MUCH better, more harmonious proportions than the "Harmonized"...

Recently, I think about the case size of contemporary watches a lot. A few years ago, the industry becomes explosive with then oversized watches and now the oversized has become the normal-sized... It would be interesting to follow what is coming next.
Some bet on smaller watches, others on big time keepers...
Now who is right, who is wrong, the answer to this question is impossible to give. I would dare a personal theory: Smaller for dressy or elegant watches, bigger on sport or toolwatches. Let's see... Best, Nicolas.

This case looks like...
...a reduced derivative of the most recent "harmonized" Master Control rather than a smaller adaptation of the newer case proportions. Fatter lugs and wider bezel than the original, but more refined than the most recent. I will hold out for unknown entrie...

In the last two years JLC really has found their way back to their classic and yet contemporary design. Looking at this 37mm MC, however, I really regret they chose to use hands that are way too short. JLC always uses hands that at the max reach the indec...
