the Geophysic 1958 instead.
I kid, of course - it’s a lovely watch. I just wish JLC would revive this line as complement to the Polaris (instead of rolling all of their “sporty” watches under that line). That said I understand sales struggled enough to kill off the Geophysic True Second.
My great experience with it so far has opened me up to other modern JLC pieces, like their Master Control Chronograph Calendar or blue dialed Reverso Tribute Duoface.

It has barely left my wrist since. Not a stretch to say it has changed my plans for my personal collection...

How long has this vintage Geophysic belonged in your collection? What drew you to it?
This is a phenomenal story

Very fortunate to have such great interest in horology. My family’s heirlooms consisted of quartz Seikos and Russian watches. I’m sure we both wear our heirlooms with lots of appreciation, though!
Well said!

So special and what a piece for that. A true man of taste.
A vintage crosshair dial?!

My understanding is that these are incredibly rare, relative to the high number of crosshair pieces in the 2014 reissue. Is that correct? Either way, I love how the hands on yours have aged to a rich orange hue.
