Ive never seen this before. I guess dial manufactorers where less consistent back in the days. I suppose they have used a different quality paint, just like you sometimes see small variations in dial patterns, fonts ect

I would agree with you.... a perfectly deserved is surely rarer... on the other hand a used one that shows wear and the elements of time have affected it has its charm.... as for the "artists" they should get what they deserve.... cheers
