Which brands had produced Ultra Thin Watches? Any information? Thanks!

Well, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Piaget are both famous for building utlra thin movements. One of Pateks Calatravas is also equipped with a very thin movement. Maybe there are also other manufacturers that are famous for this. Best, Rob.

Yes, I have seen the AP Ultra Thin in a AP catalog. But I am almost 100% sure it was equipped with the Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 849 that comes in my JLC MUT! So, if it is like I suspect, AP does not make Ultra thins ;-) Please correct me if I am wrong! Be... 

Yes, he AUTOMATIC ultra thin that JLC made, and did not use themselves were delivered and used by AP. "...Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and Vacheron Constantin... Designed and manufactured (but not finished) by Jaeger LeCoultre as the caliber 920, JLC ... 

Hi, AP has traditionally used mainly JLC, Valjoux, and Piguet base movements. BUT...depending on how strictly one wants to define what belongs to whom (including source of inspiration for ideas) as well as how one wants to define "ultra thin" then AP can ... 

And I would also like to express my joy of owning an ultra thin watch. Very elegant, very comfortable on the wrist and you hardly notice it when wearing it. Highly recommended! and apparently the ultra thin watch is gaining in popularity, maybe as a react... 

That's interesting to know Rob. I can agree with the sentiment. Some people love their chronographs, or moonphases, or tourbillons. For me, it's always the ultra-thins that make my heart beat a bit faster. J,

Speaking of where JLC ultrathin ebauches ended up, here's an obscure example. World's thinnest perpetual. 849 plus the IWC Kurt Klaus calendar module. Seriously underpowered (~36 hours) but very pretty.

although it is a quartz and hardly a watch one would consider on this site but was my first as a grad gift in 2003. I wanted it soooo bad and my parents got it for me, about three years after that got hooked and have since learned so much. It is the least...  

and as far as I can see, they make the thinnest automatic movement currently on the market at 2.4mm thick (somebody please correct me here if I am wrong).

have 4.10mm case high. Its name is "Historic ultrathin 1955" I think it is the thinest to date, (based on JLC calibre). Cheers, Patrickh
