One of the biggest issue of the Reutter ( and first generations of Atmos ) is that they used Mercury... Other than that, the specimen you are showing is just sublime.

The design of these models is so overwhelming that one tends to forget the unique mechanics of the clock it self. Using fractions of a degree of changes in ambient temperature suffices to keep the clock running. Virtual perpetual so to speak. And to hold ...
