very comfortable, especially with the curved back in humid weather. The bracelet is quite wonderful too.

It is one of the first models I knew from JLC when I started in this madness of watches in the late nineties. Ruckdee

is even more spectacular than in today's context. I believe retrogrades were very rare and this was also one of the few original chronograph movements to be introduced (in the form of the 829) in some decades.

As you saiid, not very popular during its short life. Maybe it was sue to its chunky look? Imean the thickness is important for a relatively small watch. But the movement is great, as well as the dials. I think it will gain in popularity, with time. After... 

Perhaps it will make its comeback, I'm now casually looking for a 829 reverso chronographe which I think also represents a great value.

Thank you Ed, I could not agree more! In 2002 I purchased the JLC GranSport Automatique. I loved the watch (superb and very accurate movement too), but despite my small wrists of 7" felt that it was a bit too small for me. Hence sold it few years later. S...  

A question I always had... And which I could never solve. Do you prefer it with the black dial, or with the white dial? I find both have a lot of charm, to say all. And that some developped a superb patina, too, due to tritium on some early dials. Best, N... 

I have the gran sport duo on a rubber strap, and i will add that it proved more comfortable than my patek 5066 on a strap simply due to the adjustable trap size (and hoe easily done on the fly), as well as the built in curvature to the strap at the ends o... 

Though, I would advice you to not dive with it... Don't try your luck too often, it may tuirn. It is good to read such a testimony, and to see that they are so strongly linked to our lives, rather than staying in a safe, at a bank. You are a lucky guy, Di...
