Yes, they still make it, but I don't know why it is no longer on their website. According to my AD, it is a limited production model (unlike limited edition), which means that once they run out of the supply of meteorite they purchased, they will no longer make these dials.
I have seen several of the rose gold versions at ADs, including one recently with the old style rotor. However, it seems that the steel version is more difficult to come by, and my AD (US) had to get the watch from Switzerland, so it must be a newer production piece.
As far as the strap, yes it is alligator and made in France. I have a grey strap on order as well, and my AD told me that they do get these particular straps from a company in France.

The dial sparkles under bright light. Not just the meteorite pattern, but the hands and the hour markers reflect light as well to add to the sparkle. I tried to take some pictures to show that, but it didn't come out too well. One concern I had was legibi...
