Thanks for the info, guys. I can't tell you how appropriate it is that the model is an "abatross"

I will tell you what I can about the watch, which isn't much. The bezel is approx 32mm across with the case being a bit over 35mm across. The bezel is almost 32mm top to bottom and the watch is 8.7mm thick, though it sits much slimmer on the wrist. I assume it's 18kt yellow gold, but I don't have the eyesight to read the extremely tiny stamp on the bracelet. It weighs 127.6 grams.

I have no idea what the movement is, other than it's automatic with date and moon phase, which I'd guess given the late 80's manufacture date would probably tell a more knowledgeable person the likely movement. That's about all I know at this point.
