Almost all major brands are producing blue face watches. JLC followed the stream in 2017. I think that the JLC's blue is a bit plain and too bright and can get boring quite fast. But I am not sure as I saw it in a shop with artificial lights.

There were some blue dials from JLC in the late 60, and some in the late 2000's such as the Reverso blue enamel.

I hope I will try it in flesh one day.

coincidence...i was looking for manual wind dress watches today morning in JLC site & was impressed by the silver dial 38,5mm one - then bumped in to the blue one too ! 40mm is a good size & apt for a daily wear. true there were very few manual wound ...

Although I have to say that there have been perhaps too many blue watches recently. Do you know how thin it is?

Thinness? This watch seems fairly thin(?). Is it a little more robust or is there a sort of something to a manual wind which would make it a little more special? Just interested in your take, thanks!

I would share your few suggested refinements to make this piece better, although I could live with the automatic movement (great decision by JLC not to write "Automatic/Automatique" on the dial!). The gold rotor is a nice touch, and I think demonstrates J... 

1mm smaller? That works for me. Even 2 mm smaller!

However, this would be more of a bonus watch for me, as 39mm is the max dress watch size for me and I am still looking out for a white/silver dialed one first to fill the niche first!

I'm having an internal struggle between a dress watch or aiming for a JLC MUT Perpetual Black Dial (or status quo). This will depend on my having to sacrifice some watches.

I wish the dial was 37mm.
