Minute Repeaters are a kind of obsession, for me. When thinking about them, I was wondering if they come with their " acoustic" passport, I mean, a document which relates all their acoustic parameters. I remember that my IWC Portuguese Minute Repeater did...

So these are about 10-20K second hand then eh..?? LOL I assume they must also have company specifications for each of these parameters to pass..? Very interesting info...I wonder how different manufacturers differ in their specifications. Do YOU consider ...

this is one of the nicest designs JLC have ever done in a wristwatch and its probably also the nicest complication you can have. not the most complicated or most fancy watch from JLC BUT I think its in their all time top 3 of THE NICEST - big words, I kno... 

But, like you, I prefer the Gyro I, for its play of transparency, or even better, with an awesome finish on the WG versions. Funny that you mention the Gyro I: Because of this MMR ( or thanks to it ... ) I totally under appreciated, for a long time, the G...

..able to confirm whether the 'Sib5' refers to the Audio software used for analysis (Sibelus)? If so, you should ask JLC for the data...Now that would be fascinating. And would go towards your question of 'how far we are from an ordinary sound'.

It speaks volumes about the manufacturer to hand out such documentations. And your MMR is much much better looking than most around. :o) Ed

The VC Skeleton, in platinum, which is a masterpiece, one of my 5 favourite watches in the world, and a superb AP, with a very simple dial, in titanium. The Portuguese is also a very nice watch, but I sold it ( and some other watches) to get this JLC MMR ...

that made me love JLC for quite a while now....You know that as much as I like JLC lines including Memos,Reversos,Sports,I absolutely go crazy foe JLC approach to high end watches....The Duos,my still dream 8 days skeleton,the Gyro1(not 2!!!!!!)and ultima... 

But if you're patient, one may spot, one of these days. You know all my love for this watch. This is one fo those I ALWAYS bring with me, all around the world. And certainly one of the last I'd let go, if ever I had the need to. Yes, I think you can thank... 

I was reluctant to respond to this - as what was I about to say, not to mention commenting ? .. So all, I can say is, that triggered by that, I was (yesterday late evening) again re-reading your previous great post about it,, where you had described it in... 

It took me a very long time to be able to FULLY appreciate it, to discover ALL the details on this MMR. I own it for almost 4 years, now, and I can seriously say that it was a grail and still is. It is also my pleasure to share it with you, from time to t...

even your watch to another JLC MR, just to see if they are different. Aside from the Hybris mechanicas, This watch is in my top 2 with the Master 8 D perpetual SQ. Enjoy it every day !
