the gray looks awesome on the Platinum. My personal taste for the Art Deco runs towards a glossy gabardine. (PS: your single-blade deployment buckle should be mounted on the 6 o'clock side for THAT buckle, so that it folds "up" not down, and the logo will... 

Regarding the clasp, indeed, but I just find it so odd there. I will give it another shot to see if I can get my head around it properly.
