SINGING REVERSO
hello everyone, I'm surprised JLC didn't have yet a Memovox-reverso or Reveil-reverso: I think it'll be a winner. Anybody know if it's a technical problem or simply a design-model matter. Cheers, Kiko

The Gran Sport as an example
had a WR of 10ATMS I think (someone correct me if I am wrong) enough for swimming, so there is a precedent for a swimming Reverso. Nevertheless, you may be right, David. respo

I don't count the GS as a true Reverso (sorry to the owners - no offence intended)! I don't like the size, shape or lug attachment for this range. However, if they are 100m, they should be good to go in the water - for surface swimming that is. Cheers Dav...

I think it is a real Reverso. Its caliber 859 was derived from 829, which is a very impressive movement and has an interesting place in the Reverso's history. It was the beginning of the in-house chronos for JLC, I think. The retrograde was quite unusual ...
As an aside...
I do not understand why manufacturers put rubber straps on watches that cannot go into the water. To me this makes no sense and turns the watch into a poser (IMHO of course).
Actually some leather straps are water resistant ,and can be used on a Diving watch

Weren't the straps soaked in oil to achieve their water resistance? It's just a personal thing, I think you'd give a leather watch band a pretty hard time diving, even water resistance ones. In any case, I prefer a NATO style strap...even though my dive c...
