Of course we see a lot of white (silver) Memovoxes around, so if you want one (and who doesn't) for a fair price the white colour would be obvious. And I think white looks great on a Memovox. But I do like black dials and I would rather have JLC make more... 

Thanks for translating the right meaning of my pseudo! Would like a lot ot see a Vintage Memo with a brown dial... Aaah yes, it may exist, with the Polaris 65...Some of them came with a tropical dial... You see, I don't have them all... Best, my friend. N...

very interesting dial color. a think a black and a white dial are both needed depends on the wearer's emotions that day!!

In fact, even if I have a slight preference for the black dial, so elegant and powerful at the same time, the white has something understated which makes it very cool when you wear this watch... Difficult to put in words, but the white dial is really clas...

Zaf is a lovely bloke. i've never met him in the flesh, but i was put in touch with him some years ago via another contact. he managed to get me a lovely condition Iraqi military Breitling at a superb price and even took my Algerian military one to Tehran...

Stefan, i know it sounds mad, but until very recently i didnt know anything about his website or book. i was introduced to him as a journalist who regularly travelled in the middle east and was into watches. i knew nothing more than that. i was quite ill ...

Stefan, until i found this forum 2 years ago i was never a big forum participator or blog reader. i learnt everything i know and built up a very large collection by reading books and meeting people via ebay mainly. i was also in close contact with Ziggy W...

i saw this recently for sale. an E873 Speedbeat GT from 1972. pic courtesy of chrono.24 a definate 70's style cushion case. i 'think' i prefer a round case, but not sure. i do wonder though if the shape of the case changes the sound of the alarm. does any...

thats the problem Karmin, there are so many different varieties that i would never know if the dial was correct or not and invariably neither would most other people. its not something i would look to buy, i just thought it was an interesting example. the... 

It looks strange to me, but I don't now all of them ,and there were so many Memovoxes... That is an impossible mission to trace all the references and dial combinations ever made. Thanks for the nice words! Best, Nicolas

I fear it is impossible to do, or at least I would need a whole book to make it... Too many variations, my friend. But what I had in mind was to prepare something about Memovoxes movements...It is much easier and also very interesting! As for the specimen... 

a review/list of memo movements would be good with dates of production and serial numbers so that people who want an era or year know how to find one, but why not a book. it could make your fortune :) as for my posting, i just thought it looked nice with ...

...Memovoxes together. Both are lovely, so it is really tough to decide which I like better. I might prefer the white dial ever so slightly just because the aged lume appears orange in the pictures and contrasts nicely with the dial. Both watches are trul...
