With the Duomètre Unique Travel Time JLC pleased my love for 3D elements on the dial and for a combination of polished and satin finishes on the case
I had recently some photos made because I feel the official press photos do not highlight this beautiful detailing enough. When the white gold version with the hammered dial was presented, I wondered if the stronger structure on the dial would be more interesting, offering a more handmade look.
When seeing the two white gold versions side by side, the Paris boutique edition was the clear choice. The white-silvery dial and the map with the gold coloured continents are more to my taste, bringing colour to the front of the watch in a still restrained manner.
The Unique Travel Time is so nicely done that it can still hold its position in the company of the work of an independent Master watchmaker, even though the detailing is obviously in a higher league with the latter's watch.
So, I believe it is really worthwhile to keep the UTT on the wish list and not replace it with other temptations.

I have not seen the Paris boutique version yet but I have seen the chiseled dial which is somewhat polarizing. Guess I will need to see the boutique version as well. Bon choix mon ami.
It is such a long way before achieving to include all the Duometres I want in the collection. The Chrono is already in, but this one and the QL Enamel are still to be caught...
That's why I am not totally in hurry to see them releasing another one which will have to feed my dream list...
So would you rather have collection of Duometres or
Or just the one Gyrotourbillon 1?
LOL. Ok. So, if the friendly side is more important to me, I would say the UTT, the Rattrapante and the QL Enamel. Now, horologically speaking, the Gyro One.

Exactly what happened to me. When I saw the first official pictures, I was skeptical to say the least. But when I saw it in the real, it took my hear, immediately.

.. caught my attention & truly also my heart ! Luckily I‘ve found my 1st Duometre 12/2017, ie the D. à Chronographe, which has become my big love in 17/2018 !.. But meanwhile sweet pain is back again !.. Thx for the share & the super pic ! Torquemada !.. ...
