I think the 70eme is an extreme watch. I love it - but it is quite thick and very heavy (mine weighs 168g). Why do I love it? The balance of the dial is something I love - particularly in the platinum version where the blues, greys and silvers come togeth...  

168g - just...wow...bit of a workout! Thank you for your comments, as you actually have experience of wearing them (I'm working off photos, so am pretty uninformed, really; take my comments with a small heap of fleur de sel de Guerande). As for the Sun/Mo... 

According to my 2000 catalog the Sun/Moon was available in white gold with the black dial or pink gold with the white dial. Both are beautiful. I think Nico is exacly right it in saying that in that era the Reversos were the princes of the JLC range, ther... 

I totally agree on the size, though... Too big for me, too. Another which is too big is the stunning Gyro II. A top Watch, with a good excuse for its thickness, the Gyrotourbillon, but unwearable on my human wrist. Best, Greg. Nicolas

JLC favoured the Reverso line. There was not round counterpart as exciting as the Reverso was, at that time. But what a series! Best, Greg. Nicolas

I have to wonder.... There was also a Reverso Tourbillon in platinum that did not reach the reserve. Great watch and your photos are better than you believe. Had forgotten what a beautiful dial the 60eme had. Congrats! Andrew H

Thanks for the kind words Andrew, Yes two 60eme were sold at auction recently. The estimates were very low in both cases, but were wrong - with both going for similar prices. I thought both were slightly low - but given there were two examples I guess tha...

Hi All thee look great. Though for me the 60eme stands out - in a GT case and that dial with all its eccentricities is just fab. I've been luck enough to see one in the flesh, it and the repetition from the same series are my favourite watches. Cheers JML...
