Robin, there's ALWAYS a heatwave in Singapore! ;-)
It is gorgeous. Yum. (Quite thick, though.)
How do you feel about the hands on the sub-registers? In pics they look a bit flat, like they were just stamped out and that was it. I'm guessing that's just in close-up photos, though.
I'm curious to see the watch on a metal bracelet or rubber strap - keep us posted with how you get on. I know all about the problems of leather in hot and humid climates (which is why I'm curious about the new VC Overseas).

Nicolas is right - this Montblanc 1858 Tachymeter Chronograph is impossible

Now you have to find it... Robin will correct me if I am wrong, but the issue is that the strap, I THINK, is 21 mm between the lugs.
Which is not a common size. So, finding a canvas in not that easy, and even less easy in 21 mm. Best, Nicolas

I asked Montblanc if it would be possible to have some nice Canvas straps. Hope they will work on that, too.

Getting some blue support back tomorrow (the LUC Chrono One returning from the spa and a blue strap for the LUC Sport) but not much explanation is needed to see why you find it hard to take the 1858 off your wrist I\'m personally not a fan of rubber strap...

Your LUC chrono one is a killer! Glad it will be Glad so soon. And a blue strap for the LUC sport is a great idea I probably will skip a rubber strap on second thoughts . Will stick to leather strap for indoor wear in Singapore I may try the mesh bracelet...
