Montblanc

Hi Dennis, I just saw the Star 4810 at the airport MB boutique yesterday

The guilloche pattern is a bit too flowery for my tastes but it is subtle enough on the wrist.

A few thoughts...

The Star 4810 will be a good everyday wear if you work in a shirt/tie environment.

The big date display looks nice in the catalog pictures because the photo shows  * 3 *, how would you feel if the display shows 3 * 4 instead?

In the regular steel production, the automatic movement is not COSC certified.  Not that this matters to most PuristS but it is a distinction that needs to be made compared to the version made in precious metal case which does utilize a chronometer.

Knowing you, I think you would enjoy wearing it for a few months but I don't think it would be a "keeper" in your collection.

It's not a bad price (considering that you can negotiate with the AD and also get the exclusive MB/PuristSPro watchcase).  The alternative is to save for the  Rieussec smile

Happy Holidays, glad to see you here in the MB forum!

Cheers, Mike
