I have seen an increase in the advertisements as well, mostly of the the 106488, to include a billboard or two.  Here was something along the same lines and, a little more interesting, I recently experienced...

I was at a jewelry/watch retailer (that shall remain nameless), and found one of those rare salespeople that actually was as much a WIS as a salesperson.  In our discussion, and as I was doing some comparative loupe work (MB Rieussec 104273 vs GO PanoMaticLunar), we got to discussing how much success various watch brands were enjoying, etc.  (She was unaware I am a MB owner as I was wearing my Baume Mercier.)  Bottom line, come to find out that they were liquidating their Zenith holdings to increase Montblanc offerings, and just finished moving Montblanc into one of the more "favorable" case positions.  I found it a bit interesting.

I'm especially drawn to the manual-winding model...just trying to decide which dial configuration is the most "toned-down" ;-)

Yes, thanks for those dramatic photos :-) The Rieussec design is so interesting and the sub-dial bridge represents such an opportunity for variety of materials to compliement dial finishes. And, if the superfluous wording were dropped in future iterations...
