I think Montblanc knows that and is trying to move away from generic designs that some other brands including JLC also use.
The new 1858 collection is quite different from JLC I feel 
And their Star, Nicolas Rieussec, Timewalker and Villeret range are very distinctly Montblanc.
SIHH 2016 is arriving soon. Let's see what will Montblanc offer next!
