It needs someone who already knows watches and understands the heritage of both the movement and the function.
Although it does not look big in the wrist shot, the watch must be best suited for casual attire. Unless you have specially tailored shirt cuffs, it won't go under a normal suit.
People who race cars and especially rally cars know only too well about the vagaries of mechanical things. They are just as likely to be turning a monkey wrench as a steering wheel 
You don't see Formula 1 divos with a spanner but the rally world champion has been known to get on with it!
Finally, the multi-use design is interesting: from wrist to dashboard to bedside table.
Again, that multitasking resilient spirit that comes with experience of mechanical things is a characteristic of the designated clientele.

And I was surprised, totally surprised by this offer. I like its originality but not at the point to go for it. And I already own a 16.29, so... Even if I would like to add another Montblanc Villeret Chrono, one with a black enamel dial, for instance... B...

I fully agree with you, both in terms of intended use and the likely owner / collector for the watch. Certainly not one for everyone but a very exciting piece nonetheless (or exactly because ofthat)

Glad you liked the review and the piece. I fully agree that you need a vintage bone in your body for the watch to appeal - there are other models in the TimeWalker collection, which are more unashamedly modern
