FWIW, I agree with that it feels like that the Panerai hype cycle fueled some wild product management decisions. As a company, they would have been better off by taking a page from the Ferrari/Porsche/Hermes playbook and kept supply of watches down while continuously hiking prices. Can't increase both fast at the same time.
I feel sorry for many collectors that got caught by their dubious execution. As more of a Panerai fan/user I enjoy that I can buy watches I love at more affordable levels again. I loved Panerai watches before the hype - and after the hype
