a dent is something you won't be able to fix yourself
A scratch is no problem (if not too deep ofcourse)
Titanium ? In that case it is probably brushed, well use such a sponge
don't start rubbing like a fool ;-) do it with patience and it will work, ofcourse rub in the same direction as it is brushed
If it's a polished part you can use cape cod (do never use cape cod on brushed parts !! 
Titanium easily marked
One of my Titanium Panerai got a tiny but noticeable mark on the dial rim. Does anyone know if that can be buffed or removed if I bring it back to Panerai Boutique? It's annoying and will not be buying Titanium watches unless necessary. BR, Ian

If it was polished titanium, it would be grade 5 Ti....

it may well be a scratch on the oxide layer
that forms on all ti watches. if so, the ti itself is not scratched......... can you take a pic?

Thanks for some of the suggestions. I will bring it back to boutique today & see how to get this blemish off. Real annoying. It's not a dent, looks like I lightly scraped against something stronger than Ti. I might have to use the plastic watch cover when...
If you are cautious
and you dare .. that sponge I showed can fix this. It is not a big or deep scratch, and definitely not a dent.

have read on some panerai forums that you very carefully use an eraser for ink and gently rub in one direction to remove scuff mark.Cheers.
Eraser Does the Job
Thanks to all & to dreamer8, the eraser worked, slowly with an eraser for ink, it removed the mark. I have a polishing cloth and removed 95% of the mark. You have probably saved me thousands taking it back to boutique. I know watches get wear & tear, but ...
Titanium is an extremely easy material to keep clean...
