I hesitated a "long" time on both models and decided to get them both, which I don't regret at all. I notice that I wear the 557 more then the 372, a bit more comfortable since I tend to wear my watches very low on my small wrist and the crown guard is not scratchy on my hand then.
Anyhow, both are classics IMHO and will remain so for many years, as of 2016 the plexi is replaced by crystal on the 372 so I'm sure the 557 will get the same facelift soon.
