The movement in the 1080 is a 3-day P.3000 versus the 8-day P.2002 in the 368.
Case for the 1080 is SS versus Titanium for the 368.
Most importantly, the P.2002 on the 368 allows the seconds hand to be more centered giving the dial a more pleasing appearance.
My opinion was the 1080 was a reissue of the 127 without the “1950” on the dial.

the tobacco dial is exquisite together with the Titanium. I have to confess I did toss the coin in the air, a couple of times. I had a lot of destros back then but, owning the 217 put a dumper on the purchase
A right-hand variant would seem a no brainer!
But Panerai tends to dance around the edges of perfection--never quite giving us exactly what we want. Instead, we settle for two or three--or a dozen--to satisfy the craving!

They did have some solid hits in the past. Makes you wonder if they were intentional or accidental.

Fans have always been pretty clear about what they want. Panerai, on the other hand, has always seemed to go its own way, for better or worse.
