Officine Panerai

Congrats, Rupert!

We sure share the same taste...

I picked my 317 last Thursday (a day later than you) and I have been asking around for a Bumble Bee for some time now. The Top Gun Split Second and the Big Bang have both enjoyed the company of my wrist, but I let them go some time ago.

The only thing we don't share is the Rolex thing...

After I picked the 317 up I came for a couple of weeks holiday to Mallorca, so no photos. But I have a friend coming tomorrow and we may do a photographic session, in which case I will try to give you...

...some piece of good advice...

I took the black JV off the 317 the  minute I got home. In my opinion it makes the watch too...small...too stealth...it is difficult to see its actual proportions. I believed from the very first minute of the 2 years and 4 months of wait since I ordered it that it would need some contrast.

So I "copied" a design from CraigLA and I ordered a vintage brown (light-brown) strap from ABP which has been waiting for two years for its match. I think if you perform a "search" of Craig's posts either here or in paneristi you will soon find what I am talking about.

It is just an unbeatable combination.

I hope I will be able to posts some fotos tomorrow or shortly after.

Enjoy, my ceramic friend! ;-)
