Didn't realize there was such a thing as a 294..
So I did my research. When I passed on a chance to get a 232 (stupid me) it was in great part due to the sapphire crystal. I thought to myself that it would've been perfect if it had a plexi on it. At that time, I was just assessing the watch purely on its aesthetic merits without the "dubious" benefit of appreciating its history. I mean, I knew it was a ltd ed and all that and knew enough about why it was important.. but appreciating the importance came late and by the time I got around to it, the piece was gone! Oh well..

the 232 reminds me of the panerai golden older days. The days where a 47mm panerai was simply breathtaking and not that common to see. Cheers, Laurent

Not sure if this captures the case thicknesses, but they look very different. In order of increasing thickness (eyeballed without calipers) it is 532 <=232 < 662 ...

I found one more difference
The PAM 662 (along with the PAM 663) are the first(?) Richemont-Panerai without "Swiss Made" or "Swiss" written on the dial.

Below the 6 is in gray and very, very tiny written Swiss... if u some in on my pic u might see it. U just see it in the sun I think ...

Same dial as the duo but it's a 572. So the mother of it. Great watch and very versatile. ...
